Portwest, branded in Limerick

Portwest workwear, branded for your whole team

Portwest has been based in Westport, Co. Mayo since 1904. We have branded workwear in our Limerick factory since 1994. Put the two together and you get Irish designed workwear, deep stock and your logo applied under our own roof, for one new starter or an entire workforce.

We supply the full Portwest range of hi vis, jackets, trousers, bodywarmers and PPE, and embroider or print every garment in house. No minimum order, a free digital proof before anything is stitched, and account pricing for business customers.

Why Portwest works for large uniform rollouts

A uniform rollout fails when the kit doesn’t match: a jacket from one range, trousers from another, a reorder six months later that comes back a different shade. Portwest is built to avoid that.

Matching ranges

PW3, DX4 and KX3 each run from jackets and bodywarmers to trousers and polos, so every role can wear the same family of garments.

Depth of sizing

A wide size run, with women’s fits such as the PW3 hi vis women’s winter jacket, so nobody is left in a size that doesn’t fit.

One supplier for the whole kit

Over 1,500 product lines across workwear, footwear and PPE, so hi vis, gloves, hearing protection and fall arrest can all come from one brand.

Irish stock

Portwest warehouses in Ireland, which keeps lead times short when a rollout needs topping up.

How we run a Portwest rollout

  1. Kit list by role

Tell us who needs what: site operatives, supervisors, office and drivers. We build a kit list per role and price it as one quote.

  2. Samples and sizing

We bring samples to your site or office so people can try them on before you commit to quantities.

  3. Logo set up and proof

We digitise your logo for embroidery or prepare it for print, then send a free digital proof showing size and position on each garment.

  4. Decoration in Limerick

Every garment is embroidered or printed in our own factory, not sent out to a third party.

  5. Delivery nationwide

Orders go out across Ireland, with free delivery on orders over €150.

  6. Reorders that match

Your logo files and thread colours stay on record, so a reorder for one new starter matches the first hundred jackets exactly.

Personalisation options

Embroidery

For softshells, winter jackets, fleeces, polos and bodywarmers. The hardest wearing finish and the most popular choice for Portwest jackets.

Screen print

For large runs of t shirts and hi vis, where the price per garment drops as quantities rise.

Digital printing

For smaller runs, names and full colour logos.

Printing on hi vis has to leave the reflective tape and enough fluorescent background clear to keep the garment’s EN ISO 20471 class. We position every logo with that in mind. See our printed hi vis vests page for vest pricing.

Mix Portwest with our other brands

Many rollouts use Portwest for the core crew and a premium brand for supervisors or customer facing staff. We brand SIR Safety and Helly Hansen Workwear in the same factory, to the same logo spec, on the same order.

Portwest workwear FAQ

Can Portwest workwear be embroidered with our logo?

Yes. We embroider Portwest jackets, softshells, fleeces, bodywarmers and polos in house in Limerick, and send a free digital proof before production.

Is there a minimum order?

No. We brand single garments for new starters as well as full uniform rollouts.

Does a printed logo affect hi vis certification?

It can if the logo covers too much fluorescent material or any reflective tape. We size and position logos so the garment keeps its EN ISO 20471 class.

Can we reorder for new staff later?

Yes. We keep your logo files and thread colours on record, so every reorder matches the original kit.

Can we mix Portwest with other brands in one order?

Yes. Many customers pair Portwest with SIR Safety or Helly Hansen Workwear, all branded to the same logo spec.

Planning a uniform rollout?

Send us your headcount and roles and we’ll come back with a kit list, a quote and a free digital proof.
